Onion Layers:

For this animation we learnt how to use onion layers on photoshop. The reason we used this technique was to learn how to make shapes and characters look the same way as they did in the previous frame, furthermore to know what distance they characters and shapes have travel, whether thats a small amount of big amount. in this animation I create two planes engaging in an Ariel dogfight. Both planes crash into each other and the tend is revolved with a classic fist fight. In the animation i use onion layers to map out the journey of the planes, going from far away from each other to face to face close. I also used the onion layers to help me map the punch the characters were throwing at each other.

After Effects: Rotation: When working with after effects we learnt the rotation technique. everyone worked on rotation for a boy riding a bicycle on the moon but I wanted to try something different.

I used photoshop to cut out the character "Spider-Man" and made the picture a PNG file. After I made the PNG I imported it into after effects and added a background image. I key framed both images with a rotation and made them rotate 360 and added a scale or the "Spider-Man" to make him zoom in.

When creating the animation for my advertisement I placed the iStudio logo into after effects and started using

So the shape of the wing and the ability to move it through the air are the two things needed for bird and plane flight. Birds use their strong breast muscles to flap their wings and give them the thrust to move throughout the air and fly. In a way, birds use a swimming motion to get the lift needed to fly.
In this storyboard I made a parrot making it's journey across the top of the jungle. in each frame i changed the position of the bird's wings from fully intended outwards to close and closed. the movement of the wings is up and down as that's how wings work.
